We are seeking a dependable Operations Manager to join our team. Our ideal candidate is a flexible, proactive individual who is passionate about social impact. The Admin/Operations Manager will report to the Director, liaise with the program team, and supervise staff. He/She will be responsible for all operational and general administrative tasks that ensure the effective running of the organization. He/She will also support, coordinate, and implement a wide range of tasks related to human resources, program management, internal policies, accounting/finance, IT, and legal.
Highlights of Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Executive Director to develop and improve on strategies and internal policies and procedures
Liaise with the finance manager to facilitate the annual audit and monthly financial reporting
Ensure that every member of staff has the equipment and operational support needed to effectively perform their roles
Ensuring compliance with existing strategy, corporate governance, policy, and guidelines
Ensuring that all projects/programs are implemented effectively
Manage the Support budget including preparation and monitoring; manage cash flow forecasting and supervise the petty cash for support services
Manage and supervise the Administrative Assistants
Liaise with the program team to ensure program operations run smoothly, and resources are used efficiently and effectively
Coordinate logistics for board meetings, oversee production of board books, and prepare standard materials for board review
Identifies and facilitates donor funding, management, and reporting
Additional administrative and office management duties as needed
Undergraduate degree in Business / Public Administration, or any related field. A master’s degree is an added advantage
A minimum of 5 years’ of demonstrated success in operations or administrative role ideally with at least 2 years in an NGO
Experience working in non-profit organizations and/or philanthropic institutions with a deep understanding of Nigeria’s developmental policy and environment
Demonstrated capability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously
Knowledge of financial management particularly NGO financial management, reporting practices, and budget management
Solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and willingness to develop and implement structures and systems for operational excellence
Excellent communications skills, both in person and in writing, and an ability to communicate clearly and effectively with multi-level stakeholders
Experience sourcing, managing grants, and donor management
Ability to achieve and maintain operational efficiency, identify and mitigate risks related to administration and logistics.
